Pumpkin Carving and School Halloween

The kids were so excited to carve their pumpkins so we finally got it done last night.  I laughed as they were all grossed out by the insides of the pumpkin and they wanted to know if they had to get "all" the seeds and stuff out..........duh of course you do!!!!!

I made all the kids teachers a little goodie from the kids.  I think really I enjoy making it more than anything, it is nice to be able to have time to do these things.

Today the kids got to dress up in their Halloween Costumes and wear them to school.

Kennedy is a 'Punk Rocker' she is showing her attitude in the first picture :)

Sadie is Miss TinkerBell, and a very cute one at that!!!!!  She had every pose down :)

Ok I totally Laughed when I took the pictures of Tate, he is suppose to be a ninja and when I painted his face it looked better than when I took the picture.  I am still laughing at the pictures of him :)

I went in and helped in Tate's Kindergarten class with their Halloween party, first I stopped and got a picture of Sadie with her friend Oakley and of course the 5th graders were all to busy to get a picture of Kennedy.

Then after school we went to see Grandma at work so she could show off her cute monsters, got a picture of them standing in front of the water fountain in front of Tai Pans.

At least we know how long it will take to get ready to go Trick or Treating tomorrow :)

Carnivals, Corn Mazes, and Field Trips!!!

The kids had their school Carnival and it was actually pretty good.  It was crowded but I must say I was impressed by how organized and well done it was.  It reminded me of going to the school Carnivals when I was a kid in elementary school

Tate's class sang Hush Little Baby, we didn't get there in time for a picture.  Sadie's class danced to Dem Bones and Kennedy's class danced to the YMCA (Kennedy is dressed like a construction worker from the Village People).  There obviously was face painting and a cake walk and lots of other games.  Our Frankenstein cake went fast at the cake walk :)

On Saturday we went to the Stahlei Farm Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch with Sadie and Tate.  Kennedy and Taylor were at a PJ party so they missed out on going with us but they had just gone on a field trip there the other day with their 5th grade class.  They got to ride their bikes to it and thought that was pretty cool.  Definitely not something that would have happened for a field trip in Vegas.

It was really fun, they had wagons pulled by the tractors and all sorts of activities for the kids and fun things to do.  I wish I would have gotten a picture of the 'Redneck Trampoline' it was a bunch of mattresses covered by a tarp surrounded by hay.  It had been raining lots the day before so everything was wet and muddy but that didn't stop Tate from slipping and getting covered in mud. :)

Tate's class went on a field trip to the Fire Station on Monday, we walked from the school there.  It was really fun to see all the kids and their faces light up seeing the fire trucks and listening to the sirens.  In one of the pictures if you look really close you can see that all the boys are in front and the girls are standing behind as the Firemen are showing all the cool things in the truck!

Sadie's class went on a field trip to the Orchestra at Dixie State and all the kids were really good and seem to enjoy listening to all the instruments.  The Orchestra did a really good presentation for all the 3rd graders.

This last picture is a picture of Sadie's teacher as she almost fell off her seat on the bus, it would have been such a good blackmail picture except there was a big light behind her.  Maybe next time!!!!!!! ;)
