April Fool's Day Dinner

My friend Melissa is really good at doing fun things for her kids and I always wish I would have come up with it when it mattered. So on April Fools Day Melissa suggested we do a fun dinner for the kids. So we made these pink and blue "cupcakes" and "grilled cheese" sandwiches. Hehe!!

Ok so the grilled cheese sandwiches were really angel food cake that we toasted and colored frosting to look like melted cheese in the middle.

And the cupcakes are shepherd's pie in cupcake foil with colored mashed potatoes on top.

Of course the kids bit into it and were surprised it wasn't what they were expecting!!! I loved it. Thanks Melissa for being so fun and creative:)
